Medical Donations
PODEMOS relies on the generosity of pharmaceutical companies, private practitioners and local businesses to provide the medicines and diagnostics we need to meet the needs of our patients. If you are a medical practitioner and are interested in making a charitable donation of used diagnostic supplies, short dated medications, non-perishable items such as gause or gloves, and medical equipment please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Below is a list of medications we reliably need as well as some items we hope to obtain to improve the care of our patients.
Medical Equipment: PODEMOS needs a portable ECG to help diagnose and manage our patients cardiac health. If you have a gently used ECG, or would like to sponsor our purchase of a new ECG, please let us know.

Host a PODEMOS Party
By hosting a dinner party for you and 6-9 other people you could be an integral part of our fund raising efforts and the social star of your office or practice. Professional chef Marc Dullin ( http://www.achefforyou.net/ ) has generously offered to create his exquisite meals and provide a cooking demonstration right in your home. Marc will intrigue guests as he shows them how to cook a delicious appetizer and then further impresses their taste buds with three more courses of his personal recipes. Invite your friends to make a suggested donation of $100 each, and enjoy a delightful dinner party with none of the hassle of preparing the food. PODEMOS will provide the entertainment by explaining our work in Honduras and sharing stories about our missions.

Health care providers, ever say " I always wanted to serve abroad, but I just haven't found the time or organization"? If you have (or even if you haven't) PODEMOS is looking for you. Columbus area doctors, nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, and physical therapists are the muscle that makes our efforts in Honduras fruitful. PODEMOS currently travels to Honduras in both December/January and June. If you would like to be one of the providers in an upcoming trip, please let us know!
Also be sure to check out our freinds at Students Helping Honduras. Check out their website and help them build the future of Honduras, one casa at a time.
